In the iconic Isfahan style, with a very fine weave of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this attractive, good condition urban scatter from Central Persia shows the characteristic old ivory field with a red flaming octofoil almost round medallion and en suite pendants, with thick strapwork forked and barbed leaves and an underlayer of nearly spiraling vines and palmettes. Medium blue corners with gold cartouches projecting into the field. Dense red border of striped palmettes and triple small rosettes. Very good condition.
