This modern copy of a 17th century Oushak “bird carpet” shows two columns of “bird” leaves around a central run of rosettes, on a straw-sand ground. Straw-sand border with cloud bands and rosettes. The “bird” pattern never really gores out of style and the limited palette works with any type of décor. Wool foundation (?). Medium weave. Good condition.
