Monica Nask was born in Bryn Mawr and raised in West Chester Pennsylvania. She earned her BFA at The Rhode Island School of Design in Apparel Design. While working for large apparel companies in NYC, Nask continued her fine art studies at the School of Visual Art and the New York Academy of Art. Both schools allowed her to study painting with a select group of artists whose realist and abstract teachings influenced Nask’s approach to her own work. After 20 years in New York, recognizing her need for space, she moved to the coast of New Jersey to pursue
her painting career.
Nask invites us to delve into her landscape paintings and we get little vignettes with her figurative work. Collectively Nask has shown in the Tri States and Southern Florida and has had solo shows throughout New Jersey telling the stories of sunrises and sunsets.
