The primarily Ersari Turkmen pile tribal carpets of NW Afghanistan, characterized by red fields with repeating medallion (gul) designs, geometric drawing, relatively coarse all wool construction, in all use-types ranging from large carpets, through ensis (door rugs), scatters, bags and bagfaces, and other types of woven household paraphernalia. Size: 6'7" x 10' (2.01 x 3.05 M).
